Mercedes-Benz offers free driver education to teens and parents in Los Angeles

In an effort to target teenagers and parents, the German car manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz has started offering free driving programs for teens and their parents in Los Angeles, via its official driving school, during the National Distracted Driving Month. In partnership with advocacy groups like Impact Teen Drivers, the brand’s Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy is giving free workshops and demonstrations.

However, analysts wonder if such type of marketing effort is necessary for a big luxury car manufacturer like Mercedes. Well, according to the LA Director of Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy, the primary goal of the effort is to enhance the level of driver education and to develop safer and more responsible, lifetime drivers.
