As a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the introduction of the first batch of Samuel Adams’ Utopias, a special edition of the Utopias is unveiled, making it a great Holliday gift for beer connoisseurs all over the world.
Samuel Adams Utopias are the most celebrated and distinguished barrel barrel-aged beer, first introduced by Samuel Adams founder, Jim Koch, back in 2002, are handcrafted and have a unique and complex taste unlike any other full-flavored beer. Some of the Utopias have been aged almost 20 years in single-used bourbon casks, all of them selected by hand. The 2012 Samuel Adams Utopias batch spent some time in other finishing casks, to give it something extra special. Only 15,000 bottles will be produced, available for the public at $190 U.S. Dollars each. The bottle was especially designed as a decanter with a kettle-like shape.
