Elizabeth Taylor’s jewelry collection fetches $116 million

Elizabeth Taylor was popularly known to own a large collection of luxury jewelry, and now some of them have been auctioned at the Christie's. Majority of the jewelries were designed by Van Clef & Arpels, who are now proud to have been associated significantly with the collection. Actually, there were over 40 pieces of the very best of luxury jewelry from Van Cleef & Arpels, that were auctioned in New York from December 13^th to 16^th. Included in this jewelry collection were pieces that were personally bought by the screen diva and others that were given to her as gifts. The “perfect ruby" - the Puertas Ruby, Richard Burton bought for her at Van Cleef & Arpels was the most sought-after gem at the Elizabeth Taylor jewelry auction. Not surprisingly, the collection broke auction records by fetching $116 million.
