The World’s Most Expensive Shoe: $500,000 for Diamond Heels

It's no secret women go crazy for shoes and that any girl would love to have a pair of Kathryin Wilson’s design, especially if it’s a gorgeous collaboration with Sarah Hutchings of Orsini Fine Jewellery to create the World’s most expensive shoe. “Like most women, I have a lifelong love of shoes. Creating a dream shoe appeals to the princess inside me and, I'm sure, most girls out there," says Sarah Hutchings. Just one heel of these beautiful pair of shoes boasts more than half a million dollars in white diamonds. The crafting of the shoe was precise, involving hours of work to carefully attach each diamond to the shoe using tweezers and a special adhesive. The $500,000 diamond shoe will be displayed in a specially made Perspex box at the Orsini Fine Jewellery showroom in Auckland on October 5th. After the show, the shoe will be on sale in a silent auction which will donate all the proceeds to the Ronald McDonald House.
