Luxury down under: the Henry Jones Art Hotel

Once a jam factory and warehouses, this is now a stylish art hotel located in Hobart, in the business district of Tasmania. The quaint hotel hast 56 rooms was named after Henry Jones, a magnate of the 19th century and designed by Morris-Nunn & Associates award-winning architects. The art hotel has public areas that serve as exhibition space and are nowadays used by 300 paintings, sculpture and installations. The decoration is based on natural timber furnishings, steel and glass bathrooms and high tech touches. Its interior exhibitions are continuously changing, with something the hotel staff calls a “fusion of art, heritage, tradition and nature.” The hotel offers a restaurant, a coffee shop and a bar/lounge. Rooms are priced between $430 dollars to $200 a night. Nice, isn't it?
