Gabrielle "Coco" Bonheur Chanel (19^th August, 1883 to 10^th January, 1971) was among the most influential fashion designers of the 20^th century. She was a modernist who founded the French fashion house Chanel that specializes in making luxury goods, such as cosmetics, ready-to-wear, haute couture, perfumery, handbags, and many more. It was Coco’s pursuit of expensive simplicity and practical designs that shot the brand to fame in the 20^th-century fashion industry. Up till this day, Chanel has remained true to the visions of its founder, whose classic styles continue to captivate fashion consumers long after her death. The company pulled in more than $160 million a year after her death.
