Historic 1955 Aston Martin DB3S Sports Racing Car

A historic Aston Martin sports racer from 1955 is now available for auction. The DB3S will be auctioned at the RM Auction in Monterey, in California, on August 17th and 18th. It is one of the highlights of the event, since this Aston Martin’s design is a rarity and one of the most-expensive entries. The car has a strong racing past, since it was first bought by Hans David, a Dutch racer who competed in England. Then, the DB3S was sold to Paul Hyatt, a captain in the U.S. Merchant Navy, who took the beautiful vehicle to the United States, where it continued racing. The luxurious sportscar is equipped with its original 3-liter engine, a DB3S/118 chassis, and incredible bodywork, painted in a distinctive orange. In the auction, other important Aston Martin cars will be for sale, like an original 1960 Aston Martin DB4GT, a DB4 from 1962, a restored 1967 DB6 Volante and the 1950 DB2 Coupe. The Aston Martin DB3S Sports Racing car is expected to be sold at $3.68 million Dollars at the auction.
