Jeff Koons’ sculpture of Michael Jackson with Bubbles is one of the most expensive music memorabilia

The late Johnny Thunders once sang that we can’t put our arms around our memories, but at least we can pay a premium for our musical heroes’ artifacts, and even watch their values soar as years go by. Jeff Koons' sculpture of Michael Jackson with Bubbles is one of the world’s most expensive music memorabilia.

Jeff Koons designed 3 life-size gold-leaf and porcelain sculptures of the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, with his beloved chimpanzee, Bubbles. In May 2001, one of the sculptures fetched $5.6 million, in New York at Sotheby’s auction, and experts believe the same piece is worth $25 million today.
